Hi maceill
Have you had a look on Scotlands People yet? You can search by both surnames for a woman - in this case Ward & Boyle. To search is free - its only when you want to see the results that you have to pay (as we all do! :( ), but you should be able to establish if there are any likely looking contenders just using the search.

Any problems with it, get back to us!
Best wishes

Thanks so much for the info Jack,i will order death cert.Have been trying to find out if she had any children. On the 1901 census she was childless, It seems unlikely,i will find any children now.
once again
thankyou

Hi maceill
As the death is on the Scotlands People site you don't need to order the cert - just go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk buy the minimum amount of credits and use some of those credits to download the original death entry. Fraction of the cost and no waiting! :D

Best wishes
