Hector McKay's info?.....

Hi:)

I've uploaded the 1881 MC for Hector McKay & Annie (aka Nancy) Couper. I pretty well have her info, but I can't make out the info pertaining to Hector.

Sorry for the delay in the url post; I think I had gotten used to it showing up in the post by someone else.

Regarding Hector's parents, in the IGI there is an Hector McBeath Mackay with father William MacKay and mother Janet Farber. I'm wondering if there is an error on IGI.

Looking at Hector McBeath McKay's death rec his mom is shown as Janet Forbes. The death rec also has him married to Annie ( aka Nancy) Couper. This info has me still wondering if the mom's surname of Farber on IGI is incorrect.

I would consider that Janet Farber was simply a "mis-reading" of Janet Forbes. The two names are similar in format..
