Hello all,
would appreciate if someone could do a look up for me. Her name is Barbara Innes possibly born Aberdeen and believed to have died (location not known) aged 21 from rheumatic fever in 1930s. George Innes & Christina Blaikie were her parents and she had a sister Christine, & brothers Alexander & Francis.
If it is at all possible would be greatly apprecative.

Hi Bart
The record is there waiting for you on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk ......
Search on her name, and set the year range to 1930 to 1940.
As regards her age, you're a year of so out, so set the age range at death accordingly. (Depending on the relationship of the dates of birth and death, the age can often be +/- 1 on that known.)
While rheumatic fever may have been involved, that's not the cause of death shown on the death register entry.
On the other hand you could just search for the death of Barbara Ritchie INNES with no restrictions, and find a unique answer
In other words, when a middle name is known, and as long as that has been reported by the informant, then, even for very frequently occurring surnames, it's amazing how few hits there can be
BTW, her sister was probably Christina, not Christine.
