Help decipher Catherine Finnie's birth record

Hello all:

Another file just uploaded

I dont get too many records I cant read, however BINGO, tonight I get two in a row!! I know this record is for Catherine Finnie, father John, mother I cannot read, nor the address. Can you help???

The only thing I'd disagree with Andrew about is the registrar's name which looks to me like Archd Gilchrist (look at the R in "Registrar" in that one and the one above, also the A in "Alexander" for the father's name in the next birth)

However, that's not a major detail for your purposes.

Yes, I think Andrew's got it all correct except Archibald.

I've downloaded lots of certs. from Rutherglen and feel as though Archie and I are old friends. :wink:

Sad aren't we! I have become quite attached to the Registar of Abbey Parish from about 1860 to the late 1890's when I see his very distinctive handwriting I know i will be able to decipher it all from my Great-Granny's birth to her Death,her marriages & that of her Father & siblings.
