his son was the informant james cowan morgan

He would probably be buried in one of the Churchyards/Cemeteries near to where he lived.
I'm not too familiar with this area but here's a link to Midlothian Council - if you contact their Cemetery Records Dept, they should be able to track him down for you. (I don't know whether they charge for doing a search)

I think you did raise this before. Bonnington is part of Edinburgh & I think it was felt that Rosebank Cemetery was the most likely. That means Edinburgh City Council are the ones who may be able to help (I'm not sure if Rosebank is council-owned or private).
