SRI Death search, surname unknown

Anyone have advice on how I might search the SRI Death records for a person when I don't know the surname.

Specifically, I am looking for females for whom I haven't found marriage records. (yet)

(Is the surname for a married female the maiden name? Maybe I'm working under a bad assumption...)

Married women
Married women are indexed under maiden and married surname(s), if known by the informant. Enter current married name, previous married name or maiden name in this field.
