Another missing death or, where do the dead go?.....

Post by Dennis » Tue May 17, 2005 1:44 am

I have a William Eadie who Married an Agnes Cameron on Oct. 28, 1898 in Gorbals, Glasgow. They had a wee lass Ann Jane Eadie on Sept.28, 1901 in Blythswood, Glasgow. When I went looking for William's dc which says that he died in 1940, but also says he had been a widower and that he married a 2nd woman in 1926 to a Helen McLean Christie.. So I go looking for a dc for Agnes Cameron in the period 1901 ( when wee ann was born) and 1926 ( when he married again). Lo and behold, I cannae find her dc ( did she die ootside the countrae?).

Dennis,

Here is the entry for Agnes Cameron/Eadie:
1922 CAMERON AGNES F 40 BRIDGETON LANARK 644/01 0780

I found it by searching for Agnes Eadie in Lanark giving 24 results. There were only a few possibles. I found the right one by doing a search for an Agnes Cameron with the same year, age, and parish as the corresponding Eadie entry. The right one had 1 match, so I downloaded it and checked it out.
