What will be the benefit(s) of DIGROS on the Inet :?:

The benefits of DIGROS are there now. DIGROS is the project that has scanned the birth, marriage and death certificates, and the census records that you see online at ScotlandsPeople. The project is ongoing as the remaining records of New Register House are scanned and indexed (if they were not already indexed).

A similar project is underway next door to New Register House in the National Archives of Scotland. At some stage, probably a few years away, the Kirk Session records (and more?) should come online.
