B or L

Post by HeatherH » Tue May 08, 2007 12:23 am

Hi there,
I remember reading something about this but for the life of me I can't remember where. Could anyone tell me what the letters B or L in the left hand margin of a cert mean?( where a note for an RCE would be) #-o

Hi Heather,

Burgh or Landward. Loosely speaking, the "in town" part of the parish, or the "out of town" part.

All the best,
