Can't find dead man.

Hi,

I have John Lennox 1859-? who married a Catherine Mellon 1861-1908, they had married in 1889. They are both on the 1901 census and living at 26 Lyon St. On Catherine's DC, where it reads her residence as 9 Lyon St., she is a widow; however, I can find no record of death for John.

Hi Dennis,

John's DC is there, also 1908, Glasgow, but in a different registration district. The age is out a little at 46, but it is him for sure.

I had gap searched 1901-1908 but nothing came up; but 1908 alone it does. The residence for both is the same, 9 Lyon St. She died at Western District and he at Western Infirmary. Interestingly, the Witness for Catherine was her & John's daughter Mary; however, the Witness for John was his son John aged 13 in 1891 census ( some 10 yrs prior to John & Catherine's marriage).
