Re: Jeanie Hoy Edinburgh and family

Hello Jean and [TS_welcome] Do you have the marriage record for Robert and Jeanie? If they married in Scotland, that should give her parents' names. Re: Some Interesting Reading Grave Matters.

Thanks for asking! I submitted a profile for my 3G grandfather a few years back, so am familiar with that section of the website. It just occurred to me that some of the write-ups in the magazine would lend themselves well to the profile section.

All the best,

Re: Some Interesting Reading Grave Matters.

Thank you for the link! There are indeed some interesting stories included in the magazine and I look forward to reading them all. It is a valuable complement to the profiles section of the website. Thanks, Alan "Theftuously carry away" - what a great phrase! But oh my... doesn't that play havoc with genealogists trying to work with DNA evidence  I suppose all of those transported ended up in your neck of the woods? Imagine finally tracking down your great great grandmother only to ...

[cheers]

Hello Cousins and a warm [TS_welcome]

Mollydog last signed into the forum in September of 2007, so I'm not sure if she will get your message. With some luck, she will still have the same email address and will get notification of your post. Fingers crossed!

Best wishes,
Sarah

Re: Christmas is Coming.

That was my favorite line also, Meg! Sounds like a challenging and interesting job to provide the sound track from whatever materials come to hand! I never had the opportunity of believing in Santa Claus either -- My highly intelligent older sister learned to read when very small and started i...

Re: Domesticity and Otherwise.

Half way through the above I realised that I’ve again been sucked into posting what is probably just another one of the Dundee Courier’s paid for advertisements. Pretty obviously!! As for the first types of husband, dragged around from counter to counter, he has but one justification. He supplies t...
