Rashfield Farm
My dad, who was in US Navy was stationed at the Holy Lock from 1973-1975, I believe. At that time we stayed at Rashfield Farm house and went to school across the street at Rashfield School. I haven't been back to the area since that time. My kids and I will be visiting Scotland next October and would love to visit Rashfield Farm if possible. I haven't been able to find an address to be able to contact the owners of the farm. My dad had the owners name and address at one point but he has since passed and we are unable to find any contact information. If any one knows the address of Rashfield Farm or an email address, I would greatly appreciated it.

Hi Lorrkatt,
For the UK postal address, a good website to use is the Royal Mail postcode finder.
https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postco ... L_POSTCODE
Type in Rashfield Farm and it comes back with only one answer. On going to Google Maps and inputting the postcode as the search criteria, that shows it to be very close to the Holy Loch, so should be the place that you are seeking.
It looks like there is a cluster of chalets built by the entrance road into the farm. Googling the postcode shows that some of these can be booked as holiday rentals. That could allow you to stay very close to Rashfield Farm if you wanted.

Re: Rashfield Farm
Andrew has posted the way to get the correct current postal Address and code for te farm.
A wee look back te valuation roll for 1944 gives the tenant farmer as Robert Bryden.
A newspaper search give the same name in 1979:
It's also very close to Pucks Glen: https://forestryandland.gov.scot/visit/ ... pucks-glen
That'll be even nicer in October with the autumn colours, a grand place to explore when you come.
I'm sure you know, but it's the Holy LOCH ! our bodies of water are called Lochs and Locks are to be found on our canal systems to raise and lower the water levels.
Have a great trip.

So I suspect that's the family who owned it when you were there.write to Miss J. Bryden ~ Rashfield Farm, Dunoon,
