Well done all those who sent a letter....I received a reply from SP which this time acknowledges the problem and assures us they are trying to fix it. Do NOT delete anything that won't work NOW, because it WILL work when it's fixed, they said.

Hopefully, the ScotlandsPeople issues of the past few days have been resolved.

Unfortunately no change here .
Connection using Firefox is extremely slow , Internet explorer is non existant and although Chrome connects blisteringly fast it falls over when trying to access any search results.
It may take a while for the changes to filter their way through the ISP cache files - just when I was swinging at that brick wall

I had a mail from SP yesterday as I too contacted them recently regarding the non existance of a "Red button" to view an RCE. They informed me that there was no such entry on the page I had given them, even though there is a big stamp with the word "Paternity" in the middle and "see reg of cor-ents" and a page reference on it. Am I missing something? Is this not an RCE at all and something else instead?
Thanks
Gordon
Thanks

No change here either. I got to view the first page of the will, clicked the next page button and it took me straight back to my "Viewed Images" list.

Hi Gordon
Best wishes
Lesley
Did you give them the reference for the page? That seems quite odd that there would be a stamp which states "see reg of cor-ents" and then no conrresponding RCE text. They informed me that there was no such entry on the page I had given them, even though there is a big stamp with the word "Paternity" in the middle and "see reg of cor-ents" and a page reference on it.
Best wishes
Lesley

I gave them the reference and also a picture of the stamp from the document.
They have now sent through the wrong entry (by only 10 years 1894 instead of 1884).
If anyone has a Duff Watson, Christina Watson or Duff Findlay in their tree, I have an RCE about the illegitimate birth of Duff Watson early in 1894. They are located in Whitehills, Banff, and work in the fishing industry.
I hope they track the correct entry down soon.
I think it may be related to the server problems they had over the weekend.

Just sent the third email to them about my problem. Hopefully everyone else will too, so they know the problem has not been fixed.
