but found Neilson and Ann McArthur married in Paisley1843 , had a child Neilson 1857 Glasgow other 2 think its says Enland ,
For Neilson and Ann mcArthur, the IGI gives the following children:

NEILSON STEWART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 19 MAR 1857 Bridgeton, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland

ELIZABETH WARD STEWART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 26 JUN 1859 Bridgeton, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland

JOSEPH STEWART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 29 JUL 1861 Bridgeton, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland

AGNES STEWART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 22 FEB 1864 Bridgeton, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland

- all the above are extracts. There is also a submission for Joseph which suggests that he married a Mary Parker on 8 December 1884 at Manhattan, New York. You will these children on IGI by doing a parent search as described by Anne, above.
However, this kind of search is very unlikley to work for Charles and Sarah as they were in all probability married in Ireland and possibly most (or all?) of their children born there, and as Rae noted "that is a different ballgame for finding information"!
Best wishes

Hi Jan

The young Charles born in Paisley may not be in the OPRs at all, and Charles 5, Sarah 3 and John aged 1 menioned by Rae in the 1851 census - perhaps the family were RC? Or some church other than CoS?

Best wishes
Lesley
