Wish I could sing like that. I just hope she is not used and abused. The media tried to take the mickey out of Cameron Stout from Orkney who was another 'original' but he seemed to get the better of them. Here's hoping that someone will look after Susan well enough to see that she is not taken advantage of.

Hi Sally,

I listened to "Cry Me A River" also, and you're right...absolutely stunning!

How about this for next time...

She's a winner! :D

Hi Anne,

I'm hoping that some 'angel' will take her under his or her wings and look out for her. With the international community rooting for her, I have a feeling there would be murder to pay if anyone did take advantage of her.

I sincerely hope so. The trouble is that fame like that is so fleeting and before we know it someone else will be the next best thing and she seems like such a sweet, innocent soul...........and possibly very vulnerable. I could have cried when she said she would not be lonely any more!!

According to the news today, (BBC site), she has been on several TV programs giving interviews, her house appears to be surrounded by reporters and today I noticed that quite a number of the Sunday newspapers had her on the front cover. I very much hope she can cope with the sudden change of lifestyle - not sure I'd care to have the press hanging about outside my door to see what bits of "news" they could pick up.... I hope she can keep a level head, enjoy it while it lasts and I do very much hope the whole thing has some lasting benefit for her, not just a "15 minutes of fame" thing. It can't be easy, even if it has always been her dream, being catapulted from obscurity into what appears to be "world fame" in a matter of a week.

I had a huge lump in my throat when she said she'd done it for her mother. (gulp).

I think the local media frenzy will die down eventually - I certainly wouldn't want them around my house every day either, but I have a feeling she will have a lot more than her 15 minutes of fame to look forward to. I'm certain she'll make at least one CD and go on tour...there's lots of money for the recording studios, etc., etc., to be made and she'll also make good herself financially. I just hope she will be able to put up with what will probably be a frantic pace. I'm more concerned that she treads carefully and doesn't get taken in by the first man who happens to be nice to her or others who normally wouldn't befriend her.

Anne H

I first heard about Susan Boyle on the news. What a wonderful story. The next day I watched on YouTube. Absolutely wonderful and so refreshing! It was so nice to hear about someone in a talent contest, or anywhere in show business, who can actually sing! :D What a rare commodity that is these days.

I guess that to make it in Show Business today, you have to look, or be made to look, something like Britney Spears. I am sorry if I am offending Britney fans, but can she actually sing?

I like music and would much rather watch and Listen to Susan Boyle any day.

Well......Susan did it again. =D> =D>

Another great performance! Started off a little wobbly but soon took off and was briliant...and didn't she look a treat?
