I also have been researching my family and I have found that a Jean Sunter (DOB 14/12/1785, Kilconquhar, father David , mother Margaret Andrew), married a David Ritchie on 28/2/1811 in Kilconquhar. They had a number of children before David died in 1823 in a boating accident.
She and her two daughters ( Margaret and Jean) are listed in the 1841 census but after that I haven't found anything.

Do you know what happened to her and her daughter Jean ?

David Sunter and Margaret Andrew had a daughter Jean who married a David Ritchie on 26/2/1811. I am trying to find out Jean Ritchie's death details.

I know that Jean Sunter married David Ritchie on 20/5/1811 in Kilconquhar, Fife. They had David (Dob 20/5/1812), Margaret (9/10/1814), Agnes (19/4/1818) and Jean (25/8/1822).

David died in an accident in 1823.

In the 1841 census Jean is still living in Kilconquhar with her two daughters Margaret and Jean.

No record of her in 1851 census and can not find out when she died.

Anyone know ?

You say that she had a number of children. Have you traced them all down to see if she is living with any of them? Did any of them emigrate?

Remember that the names Jean, Jane, Janet and Jessie were all interchangeable.
