Hi Annette,

I had read about it on a blog last night. There was enough 'normal' tension and pressure with the contest alone to exhaust her, but it's really sad she had to go through all that nonsense with the media day after day, it's no wonder she needs a break. I think she'll be OK after a wee rest from it all.

She certainly has a very busy career ahead of her, so it's far from being over. Good luck to her!

Regards,
Anne H

I don't think it was anything to do with coming second! I think Susan suddenly felt overwhelmed by everything that has happened to her in the last few weeks.
The same thing would probably have happened if she had won!
Just say a wee prayer that she gets over it soon and back to her cheery self.

I Agree Wee Annie, watching her sing in the final she appeared to be "not herself" her eyes were mostly downcast and not her bubbly self. I wish her all the best for her future, and lets hope she is allowed to have a rest without all the dreadful media pushing people to the edge as we see all the time.

Good Luck Susan.

The arrival of Susan Boyle in the U.S.A. for American Idol is noted in this article, along with the first track off her upcoming record.
