Glad to see TS back again. I didn't really get a chance to miss it myself, as I was offline for a while until I got a new ISP.
Great work by those behind the scenes Andrew =D>

Thanks Sarah and Alan

I have sorted it out now I think. I must keep remembering that although I get into the forum following an email route I am not properly logged in as I used to be, so have that extra step to make. I am so easily flummoxed by any changes these days

Nice to see all your familiar names around again folks.

Well I'll add a me too on the can't stay logged in issue - was just looking to see if I was the only one. There must be something about the cookie that TalkingScot sets that it doesn't understand.

There are 4 cookies set on my Safari from TalkingScot that expire on 27 March 2013 but apparently none of them is about staying logged in :-(

Greetings.

Like you all the techno stuff is beyond me. Even the new TV has too many options, and I can not do the simple things that I was previously familiar with.

However with TS, when I got the email to say Andrew had TS up and RUNNING again, I started from scratch. I typed in the full www address, clicked from the home page, to the forum page, and then when I had the forum login, I saved the link as a NEW one in my favourites, then made sure all past front and back door ones were deleted, after one last check of the back door way.

Now I'm straight in OR as straight in as I want. Because of memory issues and security issues, I choose to login each time. Otherwise when I choose to access the forum from a computer that is not my own, I can not, due to forgetting that sites password. All advice I've received is that I should have different ones for each identity being used. With the need to access business accounts plus privates ones the numbers can add up. Some of the corporate business that family are working for require some pass words, in sensitive areas, be changed monthly, I could not cope with that.

I have the same problem and 4 cookies on firefox - keep thinking no-one is talking on talkingscot - then I realise I have to sign in again. - but a small price to pay to have it all back

Scozzie, good to see you're still alive and I don't have to list you in the BMD records of our family tree.
