Hi Ellen,

The Tontine Hotel is right across the street from the Watt Library and it's a nice hotel. Nice restaurant too.

Tontine Hotel
6 Ardgowan Square
Greenock
PA16 8NG
tel: 01475 723316
fax: 01475 723316
email: info@tontinehotel.co.uk

I have a friend who stays at Lindores Manor Hotel when he's in town and he likes it.

Lindores Manor Hotel
61 Newark Street
Greenock
PA16 7TE
tel: 01475 783075
fax: 01475 783075
email: enquiries@lindores.co.uk

I believe the Tontine Hotel is about $100 per night, but don't know the price at Lindores. I'd suggest you email both of them and get current rates.

Both or these hotels are withing walking distance of Ann Street.

Regards,

Ina

Hi Ellen,

For more information see:

http://www.tontinehotel.co.uk/en/index.html

and

http://www.lindores.co.uk/

The webpage for the Lindores says that it is closed at the moment and one of its suggestions is the Tontine.

Best regards,

AndrewP

Hi Ellen,

Another place you might try is the Holiday Inn Express in Greenock. I understand it's relatively inexpensive, and it's right on the waterfront. Great views of the Firth of Clyde and the Argyll Mountains.

Hi Ellen

If you really want a B&B try going to visitscotland.com & doing an accommodation search on Glasgow & the Clyde Valley. I think there are about 3 B&Bs that come up.
