New MacRae to add to the family

Post by frances » Tue Mar 18, 2008 1:53 pm

Just had to tell everyone about the birth of our first grandchild

EUAN LISTON MACRAE born last night at 7.30pm weighing in at 5lbs 9ozs.

Mother and baby both well, father shell shocked and Grandma and Grandad MacRae over the moon.

A real blessing to all of us.

Congratulations Frances - the joy of being a grandparent (which I'm not) or an aunt (which I am) is that you get to give them back!!

What great news, Frances.
One of our daughters was about the same birth weight as your grandson and looked so neat and delicate compared to the 10 pounder in the next cot who looked as though he had been in this world for a couple of months!
Grandchildren are a great joy. Hope they are not too far away so that you can share in his growing up.
Have fun - and best wishes to the Mum and Dad.

Thank you Muriel & Rae

Son and his wife live in Newcastle so not so far to drive from Edinburgh.

Daughter and her husband are also going to make us grandparents this year (June) they live in Nairn which is about the same distance for us to travel. I think it will be one weekend North and one South.

Congrats Frances just welcomed our first Grandchild into to the world last Thursday, isn't it wonderful being a gran!
Coincidence, the babes mother's best friends, sister (with me) had a baby in Newcastle yesterday, your daughter-in-law wouldn't go by the name of Jennifer would she? Other coincedence, I also work in the same office as this girls mum.

Hello Bertha

Yes my daughter in law is called Jennifer and our son is Kenneth.
