Hi,

I am having a problem trying to find the dod for Peter Glacken born 1849 in Lanarkshire.

He is showing in the 1901 census living in Edinburgh, but I know he died before 1918 as he shows as deceased on one of his childrens marriage certificates.

I have tried using wildcards, but no success.

researching Glacken, in Edinburgh and Glasgow and Ireland, McCartney and McAnally in Glasgow, Belli in Italy and Edinburgh, O'farrel in Tyrone and edinburgh, Mchendrie, Dawson and Findlay from Banff then Edinburgh, Main in Edinburgh. Mcdonald.

Hi Helen,

A deaths search for Peter GLA*K*N between 1901 and 1914 gives 2 hits. One is a 22 year old Peter Glacken from the Service & War Returns and the second is:

1914
GLACKON PETER
M 63
ST GILES EDINBURGH CITY/MIDLOTHIAN 685/04 1420

Could this be your man? I haven't looked at the certficate, only the search results.
