Introducing myself

Post by ed2008 » Tue Jul 29, 2008 11:39 am

Hi guys,

I couldn't see a place for introductions to be posted so I hope you dont mind me saying hello here! I am new to the world of genealogy and am looking for resources, advice as well as discussion with interesting people and most importantly a bit of fun!

I look forward to chatting to you all!

Hi ed2008
...and welcome to Talking Scot. :D

To help you get the most out of TS, check out the forum rules in "Essential Reading" http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14
and also have a look at the "How to" Section
http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=60 which should help you settle in and feel at home in no time!

There's also lots of resources and reading matter in the Talking Scot Library area.

If you have any specific queries or folk in your tree you are having problems with (we all have a few awkard ancestors! ) or the odd brick wall, just chuck 'em in this general direction and I'm sure we will be able to help you.

Best wishes
Lesley

Introducing Myself

Hello! You've come to the best site imaginable ... I can't tell you how much advice and help I've received, and I am in the same boat as you - beginner!
All the help given is totally non - patronising ( and non - matronising!!), even when I've been totally naive in my questions, and replies are invariably helpful and, often, thought provoking.
All the best
