Looking for a marriage c 1891 Ann Rae

Hello,

I wonder could anyone help me to find the marriage of Ann Rae born 1868 in Newhills, Aberdeen to a chap called Mills. They had a son William D Mills born 1892 in Glasgow.

In 1901 Ann is living with her parents and her son in Glasgow and is a Restaurant Keeper, but by 1902 she had married again to William Brember.

Nothing showing on LDS site and my Ancestry account won't let me see marriages.

Hi Calmar

William Dennis Mills was born in Camlachie, Glasgow in 1892. You can see his birth certificate on the Scotlands People site. The BC should give you the date and place of parents' marriage. However I decided to have a go without that and at first drew a blank. Then I remembered the transcription possibilities and thanked heaven for SP's leading wildcard.
Searching for a marriage with the male surname *ills and the female forename Ann* produced this dead cert,

William Dennis Hills married to Annie Rae in Camlachie in 1891.

Again you can have access to that certificate on Scotland's People, though you will have to buy a few credits.

I can't seem to see a marriage between a Rae [or Rea] and Mills anywhere in Scotland On Scotlands People.

However, I did spy a suitable birth for William D. Mills in Glasgow in 1892 have you viewed it?
That should tell you the date and place of his parent's marriage.

Her 2nd? marriage shows up too, if you haven't got that one I'd look at it, it should tell you if she was a widow or a spinster - in the later case it would mean that she never was married to William's father.

6 credits on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk will take you to the digitised image of the register entry, which will include the place
and date of the marriage, the image for which should also be there on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk .

This has to be a good possibility....

1891 HILLS WILLIAM DENNIS RAE ANNIE CAMLACHIE GLASGOW CITY/LANARK 644/02 0191 - but note that the surname is wrongly shown in the index as HILLS.

Both William's birth and the marriage are too late for IGI - the records there tend to peter out around 1875.

There are no Scottish BMDs on Ancestry, so they would not show there either. Scotlands People is where you can find Scots BM&Ds.
