Stewarts of Leadhills

sorry , these Stewarts are both sides of my Mums Family ,
i am stuck trying to get anything on these 3 females , i have the brother Duncans marriage and 2 children and his death in 1866 ,
but only females showing when you go to LDS , but i cant get anything on any of them ,
here goes
Margaret born March 1798 Leadhills Lanarkshire
Catherine born June 1800
Janet born 1802 ,
all leadhills
parents John Stewart , Isabella Hislop , they were born1772 and 1776
isnt this a change fom Charles lol

Hi Jan,

A search can be performed on the OPR births on ScotlandsPeople similar to the parent search on the online IGI. If you select the following criteria, you will get 8 results.

Surname: St*art
Parent Name: John St*art
Parent Name: Is* H*slop
Date From: 01 January 1786
Date To: 31 December 1854

That will give you 8 results:
4 in Crawford and Leadhills 1798-1802 (3 people : one name and date gives 2 results)
3 in Argyll/Inverness-shire boundary area 1809-1819
1 in Glasgow 1825

So it depends if you think the family could have moved from the Leadhills area as to whether this yields you any new information. The lot are there on SP for you to see on the index and download if you think they may be yours.

could be why i am lost , i know the son Duncan lived in Glasgow , i have a marriage for him for up North ,
1851 census he has a neice living with him , says she was born Sonart ,
this is on his marriage cert , so dont know if they all moved from leadhills to that area ,
then hes moved to Glasgow , i have him there from 1841 till his death 1866 ,
also another female down as a boarder , so cant see her being a relation,
could be i am looking in the wrong area ,
