In 1880 they are living at Rhode Island (where Jennie's father was born) and Jennie's birthplace is given as Connecticut where her mother was born. So at a guess I would say it's not the right marriage.

I'm sure somebody else will be along soon who has access to US records.

Annette

Hi Justjan,

Annette is right, the William Jamieson listed above is not your guy

I checked with the Rhode Island Archives for a death of the William listed in the 1920 Census above and here is the reply
A search of our records identified the following:

William Jamieson, died May 16, 1921, at Warwick, age 66

wife Jennie Amelia (Hood) Jamieson, died Shore Road, Conimicut, Warwick, Jan. 8, 1932, age 78.
Regards
Marilyn

Not sure if it will help you, but Jennie McKinlay Fraser married William Stevens Jamieson on 13 March 1875, Blackfriars, Glasgow. His profession is Teacher. He was born in 1846 and died 21 Nov 1925, in Glasgow, listed as a schoolmaster.

I guess this is not the William you are looking for
