The McIllchonell clan.
I am researching the McIllchonell clan and their connection to the Comries of Comrie,Perthshire. I have a distant relation ,John Comrie, who is recorded on IGI as being married to a Elizabeth McIllchonell.(no other info given). When searching this surname on Family Search, there are just 39 McIllchonells recorded and they nearly all have connections with Comrie. There is only one Elizabeth McIllchonell, christened on 29-10-1698 in Comrie,Perth. I would be most grateful to hear from anyone that has had dealings with the McIllchonells and to establish if there is a definate link to the Comries. Best wishes. jas

Hi Jas
Doesn't look like there are any members just now researching McIllchonells with a link to the Comries of Comrie.
Maybe by digging around in IGI and other sources you have built up a better picture by now. I reckon you will have your work cut out with McIllchonells as a surname though, as it will be one of those names with endless spelling variaions.
Best wishes
