Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae

Post by frances » Mon Aug 31, 2009 3:19 pm

Does anyone have access to the above. I am looking for information on

1)ROBERT MARJORIBANKS d. 1548 and who may have been Prebendary of Kirkmichael (Rossshire), and of the Collegiate Church Corstorphine.

2) D. EDWARD MARJORIBANKS c 1543 prebendary of the Collegiate church in Edinburgh.

Would be grateful for any information on these two reverend gentlemen.

Most volumes of it are also in the Scottish Library within Edinburgh Central Library.

All the best,

There is a copy of the 1915 edition available online at http://www.archive.org/details/fastiecclesiu05scotuoft. Fasti only covers the period from the Reformation and the preface to the first edition states that it only covers 1560 to 1839 (extended in later editions). Your dates of the 1540s would be outwith the scope of Fasti unfortunately.

Thank you Eric,

I wondered if this would be the case. Back to the drawing board :(
