There are 2 ways that you can use to find 'extra' children.

1. is the IGI at family search, just fill in the parent name boxes and the region. That might bring up a list of children born to couples of those names BUT only if they were recorded in the OPR records held on the IGI, and only up to a certain date [1870's I think]

2. Use census records, the children should be present on the records with the parents. As these are at ten-year intervals most will appear at least once.

Neither of these methods are fool-proof however and don't work for more recent events. Occasionally you might find a sibling as witness to a marriage or informant at a death too.

The children found from entries extracted from the records on the IGI are from the OPR births (or more often baptisms) up to 1854 and from the statutory birth records from 1855 to 1874.
