Hi Jan
more about a Naturlized person

In what country? America? Elsewhere?
found one thats a maybe /could be , but it doesnt tell you enough to see if it is
Where did you find "one"? What information do you already have? What "doesn't tell you enough to see if it is"? Where have you already looked? Around what dates did this happen?

You will really need to give us more information about the situation before anyone can advise or help. If it is America, see:

Best wishes
Lesley

Have you viewed something that looks like the size of an index card with just name address, date of admin ect...+ petition number ?

Ok, i found one of these for my gt grandfathers brother and nothing else in this section when searching his name. There were two people with his name so i couldnt be sure. A few months later when i searched his name again up popped the actual documents with lots of information on it confirming which one was him. Failing that the petition number on the *index card* is what i think you will need to go further if Ancespit doesnt in the near future upload the actual document.
I am still waiting for them to include another one of mines documents but she has such a distinctive name + ships records have the same address for her so i,m in no rush to see what they say for her.

I may have worded this all wrong but i think i'm on the right track !

Hi Jan

I think most people researching have had huge frustrations like your's, I think when you are going around in circles like this and going no where, I find it best to put them on the "back burner" for a while-start on some-one else and go back to the original down the track.

I have one particular Great Aunt who went to Canada, I have been searching for 5 years now, and it will soon be time I brought her out and had another look. All we know is that she left for Canada, wrote to the family, and nothing more.

The moral of the story is, the more frustrated you get, the less you will find.

searching. Rae, Kennedy, Agnew, McConnell, Singleton, Appleton, Feeney, Fury, & many more

Hi JustJan,

I can understand your frustration with your Stewarts. I'm a Stewart too and my great great grandfather and great great grandmother have been a pain since I started this research many years ago.

I know where she was born but not him (for sure), where most of their children were born including, remarkably enough, one in Mauritius. I know they were in Glasgow 1871 and that their children all continued with their lives there, married and had families.

Can I find the deaths of the auld yins? Not a chance!

Have I given up? Never! Every so often, I go have another search, just in case anything new might turn up.
