Apologies for being so silent! Computer/phone line problems have been the order of the day - that and of course being in Edinburgh for a few days around Christmas and then having people here staying. Now I'm back to work (though working from home yesterday and much of today, thanks to weather) ... and the phone line, which had been getting worse and worse (slower and slower connections) cut out completely yesterday. I phoned BT, and it now seems to be back on.
So let's hope that the slowness is also a bit better...

and a special thanks to the various people who've sent me interview things, which I'm still analysing...I got to visit the SP centre while in Edinburgh, albeit briefly, and looked up a few more things at archives too.
