Have just read in PFH that
"Registrar General for Scotland has given the all clear for the records to be released for those individuals recorded in 1939 but who are now deceased" ..."to obtain a record you will need to specify the name of the individual, and his or her date of death if they died in Britain (no address required), along with a cheque ... for £13" - GRO for Scotland, New register House, 3 West Register Street, Edinburgh EH1 3YT.
The requests in Scotland will relate to individuals and not to households (which is the case down south).
