Andy Murray

We should have a wee gossip board...for important yet nothing-to-do-with-genealogy Scottish news snippets.

I'd just like to say "GO ANDY!" and congratulations for making the tennis Final of the Australian Open.

I do wish he would call himself a Scot though, instead of British....just to emphasise the point about where he was actually born and raised. Or maybe the press is editing him....

He's done well,
but with RBS on one sleeve and Highland Spring on the other there's little doubt that he is SCOT!

I do think though that he plays down his home town of Dunblane for a reason -
he was in the school that dreadful day in March 1996.

He's also been attacked for supposed anti-English comments, so I suspect he avoids controversy.

Tennis is just about the one thing that drags me away from genealogy .
I have not been sleeping much during this year Australian Open ( apparently its daytime there when its night here ... ) .
My favourite male and female player' have reached their respective finals so it's a big Allez Justine and Go'n Yersel' Andy
from me. [scotland-flag]

As my daughter would say - Roger Federa is awesome - not only that he doesn't grunt, argue or rant - but just plays the game. The last set was a nail biter - Andy Murray seemed outclassed in the earlier sets.

Awww...Federer is a great player, no doubt about it, but it would have been fantastic if Andy had won. Maybe next year!

Great that Roger won-again, and sad that there can only be one winner, for the losers their time will come.

Well done to all, great tennis this year =D> =D> =D>

HI , I live here in Australia and watched Andy's game and yes he did a mighty job, you had do see the game to realize what great shots he severed up to Rodger. after the game he had tears while the tension drained from him. Rodger also cried after one of his loose's. Scores NEVER tell how one has played Andy was GREAT HIis humour at the prestentation was something like this " 'I can cry like Rodger, wish I could play like Rodger" Andy is also a GENTLEMAN. Cheers, Trish
