Hope everyone has a wonderful day, celebrated in your tradition with your favourite people, eating your favourite things; with lots of laughter, love and good weather!

Happy Easter!

We had a lovely day here, went to a local market and then the antique shops, which I just love to do.

However I was saddened to see a pair of enormous family photos for sale, one of a couple, the other of some boys in army uniforms, in matching frames....what was the family thinking??? :? I'd give anything to have photographs like them of my own folk!

Hi Nina:

I once bought a pen and ink drawing at a church tea, only to find a professional portrait of a lovely woman attired in her Sunday best. Although I returned the picture to the parish, sadly, no one claimed it.

The only picture we have of my grandmother has her face fully covered in shadow, so I know how you feel.

I hope all of you had a happy Easter. We were having a nice dinner with family and friends at my sister's house. :) We had just finished eating and were still sitting at the dining room table when my brother-in-law said that he thought that the ground was shaking. It sure was, we all were noticing it then. The chandelier above the table was swinging. It seemed to last a long time, at the very least a minute. It is at times like this that I think that it would be a good idea to leave California. There is nothing that scares me more than an earthquake.

What a shame that someone would sell their family pictures, but I suppose that it is better than dumping them in the trash. Sometimes younger people will toss out those old pictures and letters which they think of as 'junk'.
