My friend boufgt a 60 credit starter Scotlandspeople voucher from a Glasgow public library.
She followed the instructions but the voucher code seems to be unrecognisable. I advised her to fill in contact form for SP. Does the library have to validate the card somehow before it can be used?

No it doesn't have to be validated but I bet she's just putting in the wrong password as they can be very hard to read (ie a 1 can look like a j).steiner wrote:My friend boufgt a 60 credit starter Scotlandspeople voucher from a Glasgow public library.

I assume she knows she has to create a new account.

Hi steiner
I'm not sure if this is the case as I think we have had a discussion on TS before about this, but it may be that the starter voucher has to be activated at the library, and any vouchers purchased after that can be used from home. Just might be worth a try if it is not workng otherwise.
Best wishes
Lesley

So........she opened SP put lib***** as username then the 8 digit password and it still didn't work?steiner wrote:thanks Annette

Maybe she will have to contact SP with the username to make sure that card is registered. They won't want the password as that is unique to the username and private like any password.

The starter voucher can definitely be activated anywhere especially as The Mitchell is the only library that sells them within the Glasgow City boundary.
I started one today for a lady, who bought one on Tuesday, without any problem - except for the password which was a bit hard to make out. After a couple of attempts it was fine.
Best wishes,
Annette

Re: scotlandspeople voucher
Hi all,
I had this problem after buying a voucher from my local Library, I had to go back to the library for a new voucher, and they marked the returned voucher as faulty.
