I missed the Beach Party! I HATE SKY!!

Post by emanday » Wed Jun 30, 2010 1:46 pm

I've been complaining for weeks about my deteriorating broadband speed and getting nowhere.

They've made me do all sorts of unplugging, plugging in again, resetting and even had BT test the line, all to no avail. (BT engineer said the line was totally fine, it was either my router or a glitch at Sky's servers). Naturally, Sky denied both of these possibilities and refused my request for a replacement router.

Well, it finally went down completely and I've been left twiddling my thumbs waiting for them to "FIX IT".

How did they fix it? They sent me a new router!

JOB DONE!

Guess who's looking into swapping to a new phone and broadband provider? [rant] [rant] [rant]

I think that Broadband etc does not like the heat.Mine has been playing up too after almost three years with not a glitch.
It went down finally on Monday evening .I turned it on Tues AM to check & all was normal! We have had several power surges in the last few days-I suspect the Broadband Fairies(it must be magic cos I don't know how it works  ) where all hot & bothered & just needed a few hours in a shady nook somewhere.
Sorry you missed the Party it was fabby. \:D/
My Broadband is Talk Talk-free with the phone which costs me £24 per month with free evening/weekend calls for up to an hour at a time including overseas & US/Canadian mobiles which is perfect for me.They have stated the Broadband is free for life!

Not quite the right thread but - re the Beach Party:

LOVELY SCOTTISH DIALECT TEA TOWEL ARRIVED VERY PROMPTLY

I'm thrilled with it and it is never going to dry a dish. It is draped on my FH corner laptop trolley as a memento of a really happy event. Better luck next year to all who missed it through glitches or dropping-in relatives etc.
