Sibson seems to be unknown

Post by Lorna Allison » Fri Dec 03, 2010 10:55 pm

Hi All

I have discovered an addition to the family tree who seems to have a name which is new to the site "SIBSON". At first I thought this had to be a spelling mistake caused by the registrar's informant having a bad cold :D but, no, Sibson it is.

Just putting this post into the mix in the hope of netting a relative.

Regards

Lorna

Hi Lorna

There are a few entries on the free namecheck on SP
Statutory Register Births 1855 - 2009.Learn more. 43 matches
Statutory Register Marriages 1855 - 2009.Learn more. 36 matches
Statutory Register Deaths 1855 - 2009.Learn more. 29 matches
Old Parish Records Births & Christenings 1538 - 1854.Learn more. One match
Old Parish Records Banns & Marriages 1538 - 1854.Learn more. One match
Old Parish Records Deaths & Burials 1538 - 1854.Learn more. 2 matches
I suppose some of them will be mistranscriptions/ inaccurate Register entries but surely not all of them

I have a niggling memory of meeting someone called Sibson many years ago so I have come across the name.

Hi Russell

Yes I am busy going through the SP Sibsons. I really meant that there was no Sibson mentioned on TS as far as I could find and I wanted to leave a "trail"!

Thanks

Lorna
