Hi,
Talking to my Dad tonight, he was telling a story about a pub in Armadale but couldn't remember the name. We're all now on a mission to try and find out!
The building can be seen here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 79.21,,0,5
It is the one on the right hand side with the tower like bit.
The timeframe my Dad was talking about was the late 1960s/early 1970s. The building is now flats and the date stone shows 1923. All or part of it may also have been used as a Masonic Hall at some point.
Any takers?!
Best wishes
Brian

Try this site www.armadale.org.uk..
At least a couple of pubs with Masonic Links, names might ring a bell with your dad.
Cheers

Hi,
Problem solved - the building used to be the Rob Roy Hotel. I found it by looking at West Lothian Council's website, where they have a searchable database of planning applications going back to the early 1990s =D> . A couple of hotels/inns were converted, but by putting together the information from the site Bertha found with the Council's info, we were able to narrow it down.
Best wishes
