I'm Amazed !!!!

Post by Andy » Wed Mar 02, 2011 10:50 pm

For the first time in literally years I've had the time to scan through some of the various posts.

Years ago on the original board and later on Talking Scot there were a few well-versed folk offerring advice. Now there are many dozens giving excellent advice and, sometimes, nay ,most-times, astounding research. I don't know the collective noun for Genealogy Gurus but the DISENTANGLE of genealogists here must come close.

I'm trying to disentangle myself from MANY work committments so will try to get back into the mainstream. Problem is, with the best will in the world I already know that the answers will be there BEFORE I read the problems.

A MASSIVE Thumbs Up to Talking Scot - The Moderators and Contributors.

Thanks Andy - good to see you back on TS.
I think it has always been a strength of TS that everyone chips in to help, and when one person does not know or cannot find something, another can usually step in with the answer or pointers towards the answer. Several minds are usually better than one and working together as a team the TS members can usually help others with brickwalls or difficult problems... it helps that we do have some very talented researchers here too, whether it is for census, BMD, newspapers or general genealogical subjects.

Best wishes
Lesley

Couldn't have said it better myself Andy !
Since joining TalkingScot some three months ago, i've become hooked on the site. Always amazed at how these clever people come up with the answers, and the speed at which they do it. Nothing seems to be too much bother for them.
Well done folks at TalkingScot !
