Hugh Wallis site

Hi all,


Does anyone know if the Hugh Wallis site is still up and running? I was just trying to use the Middle Name index and can't get it to work. Ususally, I get a blocked pop-up that I have to work around, but now I'm just getting a yellow exclamation point over my cursor. I have recently switched to IE 9 and have Windows 7 on this laptop.

Hello Carol,

I can access Huey’s site using Firefox 4 and Xubuntu 11.04. The only difficulty is that I’m using a rubber keyboard that wont lie flat. I’m thinking about glueing it down to something.

I think your problem could be the dreaded Google Toolbar pop-up blocker. http://answers.google.com/answers/threa ... 95018.html

There should be somewhere to click to bypass it, maybe on the toolbar itself.

Hi Carol,

I am getting Hugh Wallis's site to work using IE9 (32-bit and 64-bit versions) on Windows Vista. The pop-ups appear as expected.

Took a few minutes to find the pop up blocker button, but once I allowed pop ups from the rootsweb site, the Hugh Wallis site worked just fine!
