TS CLOCK

Post by Susie Q » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:50 pm

There must be a simple explanation, I'm sure. Why is the TS clock an hour slow ?

Hi Susie,

The TS clock is fine here. Have a look in your profile - is it set in the correct time zone, and with 'Daylight Saving Time' selected?

All the best,

AndrewP

I've had a look, Andrew. No time zone or daylight saving in my profile ?

Hi Susie

Andrew doesn't seem to be on-line at the moment. So..

Go into USER CONTROL PANEL (Just under Board Index)
Click on BOARD PREFERENCES
Select GLOBAL PREFERENCES on the left menu
Scroll down to MY TIME ZONE and set it to the appropriate place/time zone then
Set Summer time to 'yes'

If you can't find these settings please let us know.

Hi Susie,

From the admin side of the forum I have switched on the 'Daylight Savings Time' in your profile. Hopefully you now see the correct time on the TS clock.

All the best,

AndrewP

Hi Cath
You may be
I'm now on the same time as the rest of you.
but I'll bet that, like me, you end up trying to figure out what time it is in Oz or why a Kiwi should still be up at that time of night. - then the penny drops - our night is their day :?

Greetings Russell.

That's rich from you. The one who does not look out the window when on a roll, in your wee hours. You'r known for still serving your community at 2 am local time.

Europe is OK for me, as it's roughly half a day away [local time wise], but it is the American continent which trips me up. Which time zone are they, whom I'm posting to/with, living in. Are they 15, 18, or 20 hours behind me.

Regards, Alan SHARP - NZ.

Hi Alan

Glad I'm not the only one who can't remember whether I should be adding or subtracting hours.

If you use Firefox, and anybody who’s anybody does, there’s a very useful Add-On called FoxClocks. You can set it to display the time and day of one or several places in the world, including the various Antarctic bases, if you’re into that sort of thing.

The developer even sounds a bit Scottish.
