James Stirtan/Stirton--- Can't find his death

Can anyone help find the death of James Stirtan/Stirton ?.

He was born on the 10th October 1809 at Caputh. His parents were Alexander Stirton and Mary Spiers/Speirs

James married Ann Kennedy on the 26th March 1830 at Caputh.They had a large family of eight children, the last being born in 1848.

Ann appears in the 1861 census as a widow and dies in 1866.

Confusingly there is a death for a James Stirton at Caputh on the 7 February 1869 aged 59. He is describes as being single, however his parents are given as Alexander Stirton and Mary Spiers !!!!

If this is a different James then who were my James's parents ?

If anyone can throw some light on this I would be very gratefull

It would appear there were other James Stirtan's born/christened in Caputh around that time

Name: James Stirtan born 22/10/1809 parents Thomas Stirtan and Elisabeth Duncan

Name:James Stirtan born 3/10/1810 parents George Stirtan and Marjory Rattray

Were any of these names used for the children ?

Given the matches, particularly the very powerful match as regards the names of the parents, then the question just has to arise as regards the info provided by the informants on the 1866 and 1869 death register entries.

After I posted yesterday I went back to look at the research and noticed the birth of James, same year,parents Thomas and Elizabeth.

The names Thomas, Elizabeth, George or Marjory (the other possible parents) do not feature in the family.

Oh Dear, back to the drawing board .
