Re: Thank you
Give up after 25 years, Steiner? That's easier said than done. I wouldn't recommend just going cold turkey. You need help to get over this problem. It's not a hobby, it' a disease. Next you know it you'll be walking past a graveyard or something and you'll get sucked straight in. You'll say to yourself that a little bit of monumental inscription transcription can't possibly hurt, but believe me by then it will be too late, and you'll be lost to the world of normalcy.
I'd like to recommend that you see the good folks at Ancestry Anonymous, but I can't really because they were absolutely no use to me whatsoever. If you want to give them a try you'll find them easily, just Google http://www.google.com/search?q=%22ances ... onymous%22
And there' some really good advice here. Remember, just say 'know'.

But while you're on the wagon, best of luck until the wheels finish falling off.

P.s. I'm sorry if this looks a bit slurred but it's 2 am and I'm in bed with my IPad doing genealogy.

Re: Thank you
Alan,
Steiner,
I didn't think it was possible to give this obsession up but good luck - it's been a pleasure to have been able to help when I could.
Regards,
Annette

25 years? Is that how long it takes for this obsession...um, I mean interest to wear off? K, good to know. My family will be pleased - only 21 more years to go - whooohooooo!!!
Good luck with whatever your new obsession is, Steiner....hope it's as fulfilling as this is!
Best wishes

Remember to keep adding the hatches, matches and dispatches as they happen.
