Family Search

Post by rosie » Sun Jan 27, 2013 11:43 am

:x IS anyone else having difficulty making a search on Family Search.org. Every time I try to do a search a box comes up saying it's experiencing technical difficulties. Its been like this since yesterday. :x :x

It's working fine for me now, but it has been going on and off.

All the best,
Sarah

I don't like the new site. The old one was simple and straightforward. With the new site I usually have to fiddle around for ages to get what I want, if it's there, and wade through mega amounts of data which doesn't seem relevant. And I haven't seen any of those 'member submitted' entries in a while. I am not sure why...even if they weren't always accurate, they were a bit of a help sometimes!

Hi Nina,

I believe you'll find the 'member submitted entries' at the bottom of the first page you search.

They are at the top of the home page. Underneath "Discover Your Family History" there a series of links the user submitted entries are under "Genealogies" just to confuse you. I did not like the new site initially but I am know liking it as it is easier to locate specific record collections.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I thought it was just me having the difficulty with it.
I tried again and fingers crossed it seems to be up and running again =D>
