Elizabeth LYNCH : Born 1871 Maybole

Hello,

Looking for a fresh idea, thought, angle to track down Elizabeth Lynch. She's been 'lost' now for some
years and I'm hoping if I post what I know someone might have spark of an idea and put me on the
right track to find her.

This is what I know:

Born: 17Jan1871, Maybole
Daughter of Jane Fulton and William Lynch

Census: 1871
Maybole with her parents

Census: 1881
Ayr with her parents

Census: 1891
SUSPECT - St Andrews Home for Girls, 100 Milton Road, Edinburgh
Aprx date of birth match and the place of birth is Maybole.

After this I cannot find Elizabeth via marriage or death in Scotland. Nor any passenger list,
or any subsequent census elsewhere, marriage or death. Possible marriages in Scotland to
Mooney, Sinclair, Scobbie and McEwan have been eliminated. My only 'possible' is there is
Elizabeth Lynch in the 1901 Census in London working in service. Birth year 1871 - Scotland.

Any ideas - will be appreciated

Have you found her in 1911?
If she were to be still in London then ancestry has free access to the 1911 census (England & Wales) until 26 th August. Might be worth a look?

Hi Meg,

Thanks for the idea - looked in 1911 and I can't see any candidates that could be Elizabeth.
Have tried the American and Canadian census' as well.

Hi:

I searched the IGI for Elizabeth and her father's name was written as 'Linch'. Unfortunately did not see any further reference to her.
