Folks, anybody any idea as to the origin of this quaintly named farm in West Lothian, it's mentioned here in this story of its occupants the Black family.

This one poses a real challenge ! Lilt or liltie could imply singing; 'co' could be 'qho' for 'who' ; but 'kee' matches nothing that I can find. It appears from the book that it was a long established name so its origins may be forever lost.
I have a similar quest here in Kilbarchan. I am trying to establish whether the Hair family who lived here for centuries named a hill after themselves or was it simply coincidence that they lived near an existing hill of that name
These are the questions we may never resolve.
