Hello,
I am asking for a small bit of assistance to anyone that might be visiting the SP Centre.
In 2006 I had visited Edinburgh to do some research. At that time I had made a note of
a marriage. As I recall I may not have been able to make a print image of the document
and wrote the details by hand. At this point I am trying to confirm the name of the church
where the wedding took place. I had written : "St. Mimianard St. R.C. Church". All
these years on I would like to know which Church and am unable to find anything that
even closes resembles "St. Miminard".
This is the record, I anyone is visiting and would not mind to take a look, I'd appreciate
another pair of eyes looking at the spelling of the Church location.

Also, if the name of the grooms father appears would you please let me know the name ?
I made no note, unsure if it was not listed or I neglected to write it down.

Hi Heather,
The ScotlandsPeople Centre remains closed to the general public. It opens to commercial researchers for half-day sessions only from tomorrow, and is limited to only 9 visitors in the search room during each session. There is no date set yet for re-opening to the general public for their research, so, help with your research may not be able to be forthcoming for a while yet.

As for the church: how about Ss Ninian and Triduana R. C. Church?

All the best,

Hi Andrew,
Thank you very much for the reply. I understood the facility was reopening but was not aware of
the restrictions to commercial researchers only. Ahh .. in a few months hopefully things will all in
all look so much better.
The church - yes - I actually looked at this one. The location makes sense (it would have been in
the same area of the brides' home). The street name still throws me off though. Thanks - I'll have
to research the church itself a little further.
Have a good evening there,
Heather

Hi again Andrew
Your advice on the name of the church was correct - thank you !!
I did write to the church and they confirmed that the couple were married at Ss Ninian and Triduana R. C. Church.
Have a good afternoon there,
Heather

In case you still need the groom's father's name, I took a quick look while I was at the SP Centre. The groom's parents are Andrew McManus, Electric Welder and Sarah McManus ms McClory.
