Deco Rum is a drink served in the cocktail bars of the city, mainly in the salubrious areas of Glesga, like Cathcart and Battlefield.
Efter ye get yer gless wey the coconut, an wee umbrellas , ye then make a drawing of it.
Hence the phrase-Art deco-rum.

I see where you get your intelligence from.
The Faimily gote oot years ago?
I occasionally venture intae the fawr countryside tae the Hungry Monk, braving all elements, wild animals and the savage tribes between Mount Flo and the wee toon.
Seriously ah’m only at the kiddin
Oh, kin ye be seriously kiddin?
Will need tae think aboot that.
You will all note that nae mention is made o’ whit the worst toon tae live in Scotland is.
Fawr be it fawr me tae upset oanywan own TS.
No names mentioned by me, Lesley.
As some of you are aware, I collect tomes on varying topics.
I added to my humour collection yesterday
“A Dash of Doric” The wit and wisdom of the North East
A definite contradiction in terms.
Like Military Intelligence.

Ay Davie, they goat oot a lang time ago - see my thread Thomas Ross, where did he come from, where did he go? He went a very long way!

The Hungry Monk sounds awfy post - the best I've ever done is the Brown Bull, & very nice it was too. I did make the ferry to Arran but don't remember much about the journey [5 cups] - I wasn't driving

Hi Muriel

The Brown Bull used tae be a bit 'spit 'n sawdust' but has improved its image a bit

the Hungry Monk is workin at bein 'Pan Loaf' wi a fancy menu. (and fancy prices) Ye'd think it wis wan o Davie's haunts in Glesca wi their prices and notions.
