I have three DVDs of Kidnapped, including the Michael Caine wan , wey the immortal line "Ah'm ah no ah bonnie fichter Davie?"
My sons and masel can do all parts in this film, verbatim

Hi Davie,
I have a book if you want it. The Glory of Scotland by J.J.Bell. 1933.
Cover a bit faded. Send me your address, and I'll get it in the post.

IN SUPPORT OF BRAVEHEART

Post by joette » Mon Oct 31, 2005 7:56 pm

I know it is a work of historical fiction & was mostly filmed in Ireland but to get the old maudlin Scottish tears flowing you cant beat Braveheart especially the final five minutes & I can do the script.

Naw , naw, naw, it was somewhere on the West Coast, distant from Pennan on the Moray Firth ..................

See http://www.scotlandthemovie.com/movies/flocalhero.html

I rest my case, M'Lud :!: :!:

David

PS See the images from the film, - views from the Local Hero beach, - as reproduced on the above site, - if those mountains can be seen from Pennan then there's some very unusual meteorogical conditions prevailing as they can only be the Norwegian mountains some very long distance to the NNE

On t'other hand, from Morar, the Harris/Lewis peaks will be clearly visible without any unusual meteorogical conditions :!:

Just believe in the fact that it all took place in or near the Local Hero village, aka Pennan ....... \:D/

I only found out from my Google a few minutes ago that the church featured wasn't anywhere close to Pennan :!:
