Don't know if this site has been posted before but there are some great wee clips from the BBC on various topics of life in Scotland and comments from people sharing their memories giving further insight to days gone by.

Hope you enjoy!

Hello Anne,

Thanks for sharing this link. It was very interesting and I e-mailed it to a relative of mine tonight. His father & brother both worked at the Linwood Car Plant. Its my understanding that this plant is now closed? How wonderful of the BBC to capture these memories of past employees.

Sometime ago I had contact with a women from Canada (her name escapes me at the moment) and we chatted over the Morning family from Renfrewshire. She had been childhood friends with a Morning and years later worked in the Linwood Car Plant with another relative of mine, the late David Morning. She told me, "David worked on the back seats and I worked on the front. What a gentlemen he was and how he would have her in stiches all day long with laughter." (must run in the blood line) I hope she reads this message and gets back in touch.

Regards
Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

I’m finally catching up on the posts after not being on TS for a few days.

Glad you found the link interesting and hopefully your relatives will get something out of it also.

Regards,
Anne H
