Scanning part 1

Post by searcher 52 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:29 pm

I am about to embark on scanning a lot of pictures into my computer for use alongside my records. I use Legacy software and have an HP flat bed scanner.

Most of the pictues will be of modern and I am not likely to want to use photo software to enhance etc. Can see perhaps the need to crop but I would not be bothered to eliminate red eye or air brush Auntie Flo's wrinkles!

Any suggestions on scanning a fairly large number of pictures?

I'm not sure there is a quick or easy way to scan photos other than scanning individually. I was in a hurry one time to scan about 50 odd photos at one go and placed 6 photos on my HP flatbed scanner, which was fine, except I eventually had to go back and forth cropping them individually...so not a good idea.
